Great job!!! The Brighter Minds process really is impressive. I bought a few books but quickly realised after a few session with my son that I didn't really know what I was doing. The test is incredibly demanding for a 10 year old kid, I think the biggest thing Lee taught my boy was to sit and work solidly for 3 hours!

Brighter Minds Broadstone is your local tutoring provider. We pride ourselves in being refreshingly different, the sessions are aimed at supporting the student's direct needs, giving them control over their learning.
Our experienced tutors cover: Mathematics, Combined Science (up to GCSE) and Grammar and Public School entrance tests.
Our tutors are carefully chosen to provide a service that is reactive, meaning that the sessions have an element of free-flow to them, allowing for the students to build up trust with their tutor.
11 Plus
11 Plus sessions are available to all students who aspire to gain entry into Grammar School. We do not filter out students, everyone gets the same opportunity to fulfil their potential.
Our sessions are different to many other tutors, we work on the methods and skills to make sure every student is secure in their knowledge of Mathematics, English and Verbal Reasoning, before looking at a test paper.
Many people say that students should not be coached to pass the 11 Plus test. I agree, but every student should enter the test hall on a level playing field. We do not coach students to pass the 11 Plus, we enable them to do the best they can.
Lastly, the 11 Plus sessions do have a positive effect on the student's academic knowledge and confidence, which transfers to progress in school and in life.
GCSE support
GCSEs are an important part of a student's life. It gives them a chance to show how much they have learnt in their time at school. They are also a very stressful and anxious time in a young person's life. Our job is to support them through the process, to fill gaps in their knowledge, to build their confidence and advise them on exam techniques.
We are reactive to the needs of the students, every session is controlled by them, it gives them the chance to go over anything that they didn't quite understand at school that day or that week.
121 support
If your child requires 121 specialist support, then we have a range of teachers who are here to help. We understand that schools are busy places, with a wide range of needs to be addressed, sometimes children just need a bit of time to study at their own pace. There are students who struggle with general anxiety and a lack of confidence, which impacts on their ability to learn to their full potential. Our job is to give them time, fill any gaps in their learning and build a solid foundation on which to build confidence.
Common entrance support
Common entrance interviews can be a daunting experience. The idea of holding an interview with school leaders and undertaking an English writing task will suit some students, but some will fear the process.
We offer a service where your child undertakes practice interviews and learns the life skills of verbal communication and body language. Alongside this, we can demonstrate and analyse what makes a quality piece of English writing.

Our pricing structure has been set to make tutoring accessible to a wider majority of parents. Your child can have a 60 minute group session for £22.50. 121 sessions are 45 minutes long for £42.50
GCSE 121 sessions are currently priced at £45.00 for an hour. 121 Maths sessions are £37.50 for 45 minutes.
Our Mentoring sessions are £27.50 for a 45 minute session.
